IBM3104 - Statistical Methods for Biological and Medical Engineering

The aim of this graduate-level course is to teach students the elementary statistical concepts and tools necessary to analyze data originating from physical, biological, and medical phenomena. Emphasis will be placed on the critical assessment of these tools by considering their benefits, drawbacks and caveats. The course will focus on using numerical simulations and experiments to illustrate the application of the concepts being presented. Intuition and examples will be emphasized over abstract results.
